Who We Are
Chabad’s Young Jewish Professionals is dedicated to continuing in growing a vibrant and inspired network of young Jewish folks in their 20s and 30s here in Minneapolis. We provide a holistic milieu of dynamic social events, career-focused professional functions, handcrafted educational experiences, meaningful spiritual gatherings, and opportunities for authentic relationships.
Our Vision
We believe that Judaism and one's relationship with G-d could be dynamic, beautiful, personal, and deeply sincere. That Jewish experiences should be relevant, exciting, soulful, and inviting. And that YJP can be your community, your family, and your home.
Each one of us has the ability to impact our surroundings and create change in our local community, and by extension, the world.

It’s difficult being a transplant in Minneapolis and YJP has introduced me to so many different people from the Twin Cities area. Every event I’ve attended, from Holiday parties, to paint nights, to Shabbat dinners, have all played a huge part in defining my young professional experience. Rabbi Sholom and Mushky Brook
Co-Directors
Rabbi Sholom and Mushky Brook moved to Minneapolis, MN, in 2016 with a vision of creating a dynamic Jewish community with a welcoming and open door for all.
Over the years, they have built the Young Jewish community of the Twin Cities into a loving and vibrant space where people feel welcomed and embraced, no matter where they are on their Jewish journey. Along with their five beautiful daughters, Rabbi Sholom and Mushky open their home and their hearts to all, continuing to build meaningful, loving, and lasting relationships throughout the community.
What began as a YJP community has continued to grow and evolve. As YJPs settle down and begin building families of their own, the community has naturally expanded into the preschool space. Jewish Beginnings is the natural next step in the journey, where young families can continue to feel connected, supported, and part of a community.
From young professionals to growing families, Rabbi Sholom and Mushky continue to create a warm, welcoming community where everyone has a place to belong.
